From a rented wheel to a Nagymaros press house

I’m Kata Varga. I started twelve years ago on a rented wheel in a Budapest community studio. In 2017 we moved to an old wine-press house in Nagymaros; today three of us work here — ceramics, wood, and packing with handwritten cards.

We don’t make stock: every piece is started when you order it, so it can carry your name, colour and lettering. We also sell the work of partner makers we know personally — leather from Szentendre, knitwear from Hollókő, linen from Mezőkövesd, silver from Pécs, candles from Tihany and notebooks from Esztergom.
