How to keep white sneakers white — a 6-step care routine

Canvas, leather, suede, knit: each needs something different. This routine keeps your whites white past the third autumn.

White sneakers are the easiest to wear and the fastest to turn grey. Our routine: waterproof spray before the first wear, a 30-second dry brush after every outing, laces washed separately, a melamine sponge (not bleach) for the rubber foxing, washing by material (canvas in a bag at 30 °C, knit by hand, leather with pH-neutral soap, suede only with a suede eraser), and paper stuffing instead of radiators for drying. Bonus: rotate two pairs.
