About us

Harvest Biokamra started in 2019 in the basement of a Budapest apartment block with one question: why is it so hard to buy good, honestly sourced food in the city? We wanted small producers’ best products to be as easy to get as a supermarket – only much tastier.

From farm to table within 24 hours

Today we work with more than 60 Hungarian small producers – beekeepers in the Pilis hills, cheesemakers along the Tisza, bakers in Szentendre and fruit growers on Somló hill. We visit every one of them before they join us. Fresh produce is ordered the day before delivery, packed chilled in our Ráday utca warehouse and delivered in insulated boxes.

What we believe in

• Transparency: producer, origin and organic certificate number for every product.
• Fair prices: our producers receive at least 60% of the retail price.
• Less waste: returnable jars, egg boxes and crates.
• Seasonality: if it’s not growing, it’s not in the box.
